VFDs

A variable frequency drive (otherwise known as an adjustable-frequency drive or variable speed drive) or “VFD” is a type of motor drive used to control speed and torque in electro-mechanical drive systems. By adjusting the motor input frequency and voltage, VFDs will increase the lifespan of components and decrease unscheduled downtime. A VFD will also provide significant power savings, increase quality control, and reduce stress in the equipment.
